Aren’t they lovely The four candles in the first picture represent the four Sundays prior to Christmas day. The first candle will be lit on the first Sunday in December and another on the following Sunday and so on until the week of Christmas.
I wonder whether it is also practiced in Malaysia? I guess I wasn’t that keen on following any other tradition while I was young since I was raised in a totally Chinese or to put it more exact environment in Malaysia.

But after staying in Germany for some time, their way of life has sipped unconsciously under my skin. Although I can assure you that I’m still 100% Chinese, I wouldn’t mind embracing foreign culture into my way of life . I find it enriching and sorta interesting and most of all the decorations around the house brighten up my day whenever I look at them. I guess that’s what matters after all in the end of the day.
