Was listening to 988 over the internet for their weekly top 20 chart. I love listening to this chart since it’s a way for me to keep myself updated with new songs in the chinese world. I haven’t forgotten my chinese roots after all . There are some songs which I find very beautifully written by this song writer 林夕.

One of them is 富士山下 by Eason Chan.

I never really listen to the lyrics while listening to songs since most of the time I couldn’t catch what they are singing anyway. But as years gone by in a faraway land from home, I yearn to be able to connect with my chinese roots again. I prefer listening to chinese songs most of the time because I realised that chinese words can beautifully express the essence of an element in a way that IMHO any other languages can’t.

There are love songs which express what the heart feels without even mentioning the word 爱. Just like this one 親親 from 梁静茹. Proud to be malaysian
