Let it snow..let it snow…

Let me start by telling you what happened this morning. Snow is nice to look at and it really gives you a feel that yes..it´s finally winter. However it´s not funny when snow gets on your shoes and when it melts, guess what, you get cold feet the whole day. It doesn´t help when the temperature around you is below zero. You feel like your toes are going to fall off. To make things worse, it´s so frustrating when you get caught in a 2 hours traffic jam because of slippery road due to snow! My journey to work usually takes around 40mins if no traffic jam. But then the 10km traffic jam today prolonged my journey ten-fold ! However I heard that it was much worse on other highways because there was like around 20km-50km of traffic jams!! I´m so not exaggerating here. Can you ever imagine being stuck in a 20km traffic jam with no way out insight but to sit and wait till it´s over ?? No I can´t and thank God I was just stucked for only 2 hours. That´s snow for you.

However if you do not have any driving to do, it´s not that nasty after all. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful with everything in white once in awhile. You could even forget for a second that it´s bitingly cold. Here´re some pictures that I´ve snapped with my hp while walking to my office.

By the way my new winter boots arrived today! Yay! I got it online for half price on Esprit Winter Sale . Have been looking for a pair of boots in which I can walk comfortably for the whole day without getting foot ache! It´s a little furry at the edge also. Perfect for walking on a cold winter day.
