Hola, I’m back!

by Yen posted February 12, 2007 category Going places

Arrived safe and sound last weekend and what did I do for the last weekend in KL? What else but to shop, eat, sleep, shop, eat, sleep…. Giggle I didn’t get any good sleep due to jet lag. But anyway I still have time to update a little about my trip…hehehe..

Paris Day 2 continued..

Here’s another view from the Eiffel Tower. Isn’t it magnificent? I can imagine it must very breathtaking at night also with night landscape around the tower. After lingering for about an hour at the Eiffel Tower we decided to finally descend the tower and enjoy a view of it from afar.

This photo of the Eiffel Tower is NOT photoshoped! The azure sky at the background makes it looks a little unreal right?

Here’s a picture of me and Thorsten together Blushing 4. The bright sunlight made me so wanna squint my eyes. After walking around its compound we headed to our next destination, the Notre Dame.

I love this snap of Thorsten and me Blushing 4.

The entrance to the church is free and its exterior is as beautiful as the interior of the church. Look at the intricate carvings at the front of the building.

The interior of the church is just as imposing and every side of the walls is carved beautifully.

I like this life-like wall which depicts the story of Jesus.

Here is a miniature version of the Notre Dame. I just love the way they intricately carved it exactly just like the original.

Later in the evening, our feet were sore from too much walking. We went to the Jardin Du Luxembourg, a park where Parisians go to relax and a getaway from the hustle bustle of the city although this park is situated right in the heart of Paris. This park is to Parisians like Hyde Park is to Londoners. I like the way the shapes of the tree branches with its unique shapes.

There are some beautiful figures around the park.

A visit to Paris is not complete without seeing its side after sunset. Here’s a view of the Louvre beautifully lit up at night. Too bad I didn’t bring along a tripod because my camera is not so good in taking night shot.

The deserted ground of the Louvre at night. It reminds me of the film Da Vinci Code, where Tom Hanks ran around the compound of the Louvre at night.
