I’ve been back for almost a week. How fast time flies. I’ve forgotten how nice it is just to wear sandals and skirts to go out without all those extra layers of winter jacket or thick socks. The first weekend was spent in KL where I met up with my aunt’s family and also to shop in KL .

Shopping here can be a very different experience than shopping in Germany. It is so common to find big shopping complexes here where you can literally find everything you need under one roof and enjoy the cool atmosphere in the shopping mall. Whereas it is so seldom to find big shopping malls in Germany and although there are afew, it is nothing compared to the shopping malls here. The interior is decorated beautifully to suit the season (like CNY, Hari Raya etc). Well actually in Germany the streets where all the shops are located are usually decorated beautifully come Christmas.

I have to check myself whenever I’m home from overspending. It can be a little tricky as my mind has always been comparing Euro with MYR. Take for example shoes. I have bought 3 pairs of shoes in a matter of 2 days ! Couldn’t resist it because shoes especially sandals are darn ugly and expensive in Germany. For the price you pay here for a pair of heels or sandals, you gotta pay it in Euro or more in Germany plus it’s uglier. So I can still allow myself for another few pairs of sandals right ?
