Crazy about books

I have been reading a lot of novels lately. Just finished reading Sophie Kinsella’s Can You keep A Secret? I have to say I love, love, love its witty and funny storyline. No doubt it’s really one of her best writing to date besides her Shopaholic series.

Before that was into Amy Tan’s The Opposite Of Fate. Well, this book is not really a novel but an insight into the writer’s writing life. If you’ve read her novel The Joy Luck Club which was adapted into a film as well, then you should have known Amy Tan. I like the way she relate her own experiences from the point of view of a Chinese American. Another good read from her is The Kitchen God’s Wife. I find myself fascinated with writings about people who are struggling to hold on to their chinese roots in a foreign world. Somehow I feel that I can so relate with what the writer is conveying in the book.

Now I know it’s long overdue, I’m reading Stephen King’s The Shining. After listening to so many excellent reviews for this book, I just have to read for myself to see how scary the story is Winking 2. A guy friend of mine once told me that after reading the book, he could feel goose bumps rising from his neck and he didn’t dare to touch the book after that Frightened 2. I’m not that far into the book yet and the scary part hasn’t started yet, so can’t tell how my experience is yet. Will update when I finish reading the book Winking 2. The thing is, when I start reading a novel, I’ll be totally gripped throughout the whole book, that sometimes Thorsten said I’m ignoring himTongue Out 13 for a few days. Well I find it so hard to put down a book because I just want to find out how the story is going to unfold. Can’t blame me right…hehehe.

Ok, gotta continue reading..have a nice weekend!
