My facial routine
I’m sure every girl has some facial routine of her own. While some may take just a few minutes for their facial routine every morning before rushing off to work or to uni, some may (not surprisingly) wake up a little earlier for their extensive beauty routine. I’m somewhere in between I guess. I’m not someone who will wake up extra 10 minutes early for my beauty routine every morning. Sleep is more important to me
.
Although my beauty routine is not that extensive I shall say, I follow it religiously nevertheless. Furthermore the humidity here is extremely low compared to msia…that’s why it’s advisable to take extra care for your skin to prevent premature aging.
I use Clinique’s rinse off foaming cleanser to clean my face every morning and night. It depends however on your skin, if you have very dry skin, I wouldn’t recommend using this cleanser. Let’s see for my day care, I’m currently using Clinique’s DDML and sun block. I don’t know whether it’s only my skin, but I don’t find anything dramatically different after using the lotion for almost about 3 years.

I guess it’s time for a change. I’m thinking about using Lancome’s or Shiseido’s facial care next. Has anyone used any of their products before? Estée Lauder is still out of my budget at the moment…hehehe
To control pimple outbreak during that time of the month, I’m using Origins Spot Remover and Yves Rocher’s Clarifying Lotion. I quite like Origins Spot Remover but it’s a tad expensive. For that small 10ml bottle, it costs around 20Euros! It works however quite good on my skin, so it’s worth the money spent
.
For toning, I’m using Yves Rocher and Lancome’s Tonique Douceur alternately.
Nightcare is just as important as daycare because our skin will recover at night from the day’s stress. For my night cream, I’m using Body Shop’s Vitamin E range. The cream is quite rich in its texture and it’s absorbed quickly into the skin. Because the air is very dry in winter, I looked for creams that are rich in texture to compensate for the lost of moisture. Furthermore I use moisture mask every three or four days a week to replenish my skin.
For this I’m alternately using Body Shop’s Vitamin E Moisture Mask and Shiseido’s Moisture Relaxing Mask. I like both of them but I find Shiseido’s mask has a richer texture. Well, it’s more expensive than Body Shop’s, that’s why I’m using alternately with Body Shop’s.
Up to a certain age, our skin will lose some of its elasticity. The area around the eye is quite sensitive and it should be treated with care also. Somehow I find that normal moisturizer is too harsh on the area around my eyes, that’s why I opt for an eye cream. It’s about time to care about your eyes because before you notice it, there will be crow’s feet appearing around your eyes! Since I find Body Shop’s Vitamin E range is quite good and affordable, I try its eye cream also. Eye creams nowadays can be so expensive. For just a small tube around 15ml, it costs 12Euros! Somehow, my eyes are not that puffy after applying it every morning and night.
For exfoliating my skin, I use scrub from Clinique. My skin feels fresh and rejuvenated after exfoliation. I think this routine is a must once in every one or two weeks to remove dead skin from your face.

I’m really interested in what you gals are using out there. Do give me some recommendations if you find out any good facial products.

I just use a cleanser, a toner, a serum for oil controlling and sometimes clay masks .. erm .. i guess if i post the same entry, mine would be alot shorter .. wakakaka … Btw, you are using shisheido range already? Now pimples just keep popping up …argghhh!
jaina: just hide ur facial tubes in your bathroom closet
I used to buy facial care which end up in my cupboard also. Must avoid believing those facial care advertisements already
hahahha…
seems like I am not the only one prone to trying out facials routine.
I had used Shiseido before last time, but those were the times when I have a financial backup from my mom, thus it was long time gone since I use Shiseido.
Anyway, since pimples and scars is popping on my face like a spreading disease, I give up really trying different facial brand, and use a doctor recommend facial cleanser with a normal mosturizer and wait and see what will happen. So I definitely do not have any advice for you Yen.
