…for a week to Frankfurt for training next week . Have been googling for awhile on what I should do or see in Frankfurt. I was totally appalled when Thorsten and also my colleagues told me that Frankfurt tops the list of the cities in Germany with the highest criminal rate!!

I couldn’t believe what I hear and hence alas good ‘ol google also spilled out the same information. How come it didn’t occur to me all this while that I’m staying just an hour of drive away from a city with the highest criminal rate in Germany?

Actually whenever the mention of Frankfurt, all I can conjure up in my mind is its airport . My most favourite journey is traveling to Frankfurt Airport because it would mean that either I’m taking a flight back home or traveling elsewhere but most probably the former.

Enough said that I haven’t even been to Frankfurt’s train station. I have been there once back in 1999, where I came to visit Germany the first time for 2 weeks. I recall vaguely that there are lots of modern high rise buildings as Frankfurt is the heart of the banking sector in Germany. It didn’t leave quite a lasting impression on me like other older cities in Germany because almost all the pre war buildings were destroyed during WWII.

I realized that I’ll be traveling alone this time. Geess…I never travel alone before and never sleep alone in a hotel room before.

Actually traveling alone is not that bad. You get to wake up when you want to and go where you want to without waiting for others. Decide what you wanna eat alone and go shopping till your feet ache . Heck..suddenly this reminds me of the song from Penny Dai 一个人的行李, the difference is I’m just going to Frankfurt only la.

So I’m gonna go and pack my solo luggage . Till next week! Looking forward to my unofficial trip .
