It’s the time of the year..

..that lots and lots of yummy fruits can be found in abundance! My all time favorite fruit is cherry!! I just love it natural just as it is and the funny thing is, I don’t really like any products from cherry. I don’t really like cherry jam, or cherry yogurt, or dried cherry or sweetened cherry or artificial cherry which you can find as deco on top of cakes or cherry-whatever-you-name-it. Strange hor. Just plain natural cherry freshly plucked from cherry tree!

The season of cherry has started and cherry trees in my neighborhood have started to bear fruits! You know what the best thing is…I gotta eat it for free Tongue Out 10!! I don’t have a cherry tree in the garden but some neighbors will give us every year for free! Look at these fleshy, succulent cherries! Can’t stop eating them while typing this Winking.

Another seasonal fruit which I couldn’t find in msia is nectarine or maybe just in big supermarkets! It is sweet with a big seed in the middle.
I’ve tasted a lot of fruits here which I can scarcely find in msia or it’d be much more expensive for imported fruits. However I miss our local fruits a lot. I miss guava, ciku, langsat and papaya the most!!! But papayas and mangoes can be found here now, although imported from Brazil, they taste just the same. And pineapples here are nothing compared to those from home.

Oh ya…guess what..durians are sold here too although only in asia markets. I think it’s imported from Thailand and they cost a bomb! Per kg 10Euros, can you believe it! It’s like I can buy 20 durians in msia for that amount of money and eat till I have diarrhea. Luckily I’m not much of a durian lover now.

I wonder what fruits you can find in the US which you can’t find elsewhere?
