My D40
When I reached home on Friday after work, Thorsten told me that the local electronic store is having an offer for the Nikon D40 Kit. It is selling for 499Euro!! Another check at Amazon confirmed that it is really a bargain. However to top it all, Nikon is offering another 90Euro off the price. So all in all it costs me only 409Euro! Now THAT is really a bargain no one can deny.
So off we went to grab my Nikon D40 Kit 
. I’ve been eying this baby for a looooonggg time but couldn’t bring myself to indulge in this gem. Now such offer do really come once in a blue moon 
. I love, love, LOVE it! I have been owning a Nikon Coolpix for about 5 yrs and I have been very satisfied with it. I have read a lot of reviews about this D40. That’s why I decided to go for D40.
Thorsten also bought a brand new Canon IXUS 850. He’s a sucker for convenience and the camera is so tiny and it can fit perfectly into his pockets. It is even smaller than his palm! Well…it’s funny how he’s a Canon user and I’m a Nikon fan. He’s been using a Canon PowerShot before this.
I find this IXUS is quite good with its Image Stabilization feature. It can even automatically detect the object’s face!

One thing that I really got to get used to with this DSLR is to look through the view finder to make a shoot instead of looking at the LCD display. Gonna experiment more, have a nice week ahead folks!

Kit yen …… sooooooo envy you lar …… I wanted to buy DSLR for sooo long time ago already …. but no budget yet … hukhuk …. you must get good use of it …. I think depends on what you are looking for. Both Nikon and Canon are not bad. Just don’t get a Sony will do .. hahahahaha …
You will get addicted to it soon …. well, this is not a cheap hobby, though .. :p

…i bought it because it’s within my budget now..yea..i must agree..photography is not a cheap hobby..but a dslr is so much different from a digicam..when you have a chance..must get your hand on one
