A Cat-ty Post

Here’s a story of a cat, whose age only the amount of gray hair on her body can tell.
She’s well known in the neighborhood as the ‘black and white cat’.
She moves from door to door.
The sweet look of her face is enough to melt any good soul to give her food. She waits every afternoon patiently at the doorstep.
Whenever she hears footsteps approaching
Her ears stand up abruptly.
Alert and focus
Her eyes sharp.
She seeks attention
She loves to be cuddled.
She looks cool and unfriendly, or maybe it is the way a cat smiles?
I wonder when did she have her last meal?
There’s a stare of hunger in her eyes. When’s the door going to open?
Will I be lucky enough this afternoon to get some food?
~ she thinks.Well, while waiting, she might as well stretch out a little and do some yoga.
This pose is named ‘Sphinx Pose’ in yoga. As regal as she is, she stares sulkily at me,
and she looked bored..
as if having a picture of hers taken
is the most natural thing in the world.
(See the reflection in the glass Winking).
Or do you like this pose?
Hey..she can really pose.
Well, who knows she might have the potential to start a cat career in modeling!
But too bad there’s no talent scout in this tiny village.
Last but not least, this is the real ‘Cat Pose’ in yoga.
Her hair will stand up on ends whenever she stretches.
A moment of reflection
now and then. Before the day comes to an end.

~The End~
