My favorite Sunday moment

It’s a stormy and windy Sunday morning here. The pine tree in the neighbour’s garden has been swaying none stop the whole morning. I just hope that it won’t topple over and break my window. The weather over the weekend was extremely crappy, enough to make you want to just stay at home, curl up in your sofa, covered with a blanket to block out the chill with your hot cup of milo and your favorite book or watch your favorite DVD.

I love Sunday morning, but only with the sun shining, and not gray clouds in the sky. It’s supposed to be summer here :( . I want my summer back!! I guess mother nature has its own course for now.

And you know what my favorite Sunday moment is? Gone were the days where I used to have ‘char kuey teow’, or ‘chee cheong fun’ or ‘laksa’ or ‘popiah’ or even instant noodle for breakfast. It’s unimaginable for Europeans to have anything heavy like noodle or rice for breakfast. Not to say I’m behaving like a European, but you don’t expect me to whisk out my pots and pans early in the morning and cook ‘laksa’ for breakfast right? Although once in a blue moon I do cook instant noodles :) .

I recalled once that my German house mate was so surprised that I cooked instant noodle for breakfast (as I had run out of bread that weekend). She quickly offered me her bread which I kindly declined. I told her that it’s normal for Asians to have noodle for breakfast. She still had this you’re-kidding-me look on her face as I continued to enjoy my Maggi mee ;) .

Now I’m used to have just bread for breakfast and my favorite moment is when I have my hot cup of latte and my chocolate croissant laid out on the breakfast table.

That’s when I think that nothing’s gonna spoil my Sunday after all. :) What’s your favorite moment?
