Something good to know

Do you know that most of the Germans have problems pronouncing the ‘th’ sound in English words? It’s quite comforting to know that although my German is far from perfect, the majority of the Germans can’t speak good English either. No offense here :) . Don’t believe me? Have you seen this video/ad about the German coastguard? If not watch this.

So what do ‘sink’ about ‘shis’?

On another note, it’s Merdeka Day tomorrow. I can’t say I’m uber patriotic considering the fact that I used to criticize too much my own country. However once you’ve experienced the life in another country, you’ll realized that it’s the same old song everywhere. There are good souls and ugly people no matter where you are, it’s a matter of choice. On how one chooses to perceive certain situations. I’ve grown to appreciate my home country more and I’m proud to tell my friends that I’m from Malaysia. I love it when the people I met shown interests in Malaysia and I feel proud when they told me that they enjoyed their holidays in Malaysia and are looking forward to another trip there.

So criticism and complaints aside, our country is really not bad after all. Have a Happy Merdeka Day everyone!
