Make-up..in the office?

To be honest, I don’t wear much make-up to work. I think it’s due the lack of time in the morning, where T will be waiting impatiently at the doorstep for me to finish combing my hair while kept on repeating that I look great as I am (so that I’ll put down my comb!).

Maybe it’s also due to the fact that my working environment, where it’s mostly in a male in my presence which would inadvertently makes me rather self-conscious with too much make-up. Sometimes I balk at the idea even to wear a darker shade of lipstick. However it doesn’t mean that I turn up at work looking just fresh out of bed, with my hair unkempt and looking like crap. I still own an iota of vanity in me ;) .

I’d prefer to go for something neutral instead, some foundation and concealer and that’s it. For that I really love the Sheer Finish pressed powder from Bobbi Brown, because the texture is so smooth and light. It’s like wearing nothing at all! The most important of all is that it blends very well into my skin! I absolutely recommend it :)

For a smooth finishing, moisturizing is an absolute must. However I’ve been hunting for a suitable moisturizer for my face since day one in Germany. You can’t believe how excruciatingly painful the task can be, if you have dry skin, to look for a good moisturizer when the air seems to be sucking moisture from your skin with the tick of every second. Winter is the worst period!

I love Bobbi Brown’s Extra Moisturizing Balm because it doesn’t feel sticky it’s REALLY moisturizing my face! I’d recommend it to everyone to try it out if you have really dry skin.

I’d really like to know how do you feel about wearing make-up to work?

Hi yen .. Nice post. I love it. I dont wear make up to work, considering the environment I am in, dealing with systems, radios etc. However, my coliq used to tell me to change my hairstyle, my glasses etc to look more attractive. Of cos, with some makeup on your face, will help you to look fresher and pleasant, especially when you dont have enuf sleep (for me). Hehe.. There is really a difference for a girl with make up, another who don’t. :)
I have a sensitive skins as you know. So, I dont or cant simply use products. I am now headache with what I should buy for my next facial cleanser. >__<
BTW, Bobby Brown is quite expensive huh? Over here the price for a lipgloss is about RM80! How about at Germany?

I don’t wear make-up to work. I work in a chemistry lab and I have to use chemicals on a daily basis. In fact, one the regulations says not to wear any because make-up might cause undesirable reactions when comes in contact with chemicals. Well, I would really hate to look like a tomato, if anything happens, hmm?

Same here, except for a tad bit of powder to cover up the utmostly flaw (which it still shows even after the powder was put on), tad of blus, since the powder does makes one look really pale and thats it…I am out the door.
Well in truth, I think if one do have a really good skin, not like me, I would say go bare, why the heck and problem of putting something on the face.
    hehe

  4. pieceofmind: yea sure, a little touch up to freshen the face is absolute ok, Bobbi Brown products here are expensive also, however I think it’s more expensive in msia from what u said, a BB lipgloss here costs 15Euro (ard 60MYR)

Chin: yea, understandable, it depends really on the working environment

Looloo: me too..sometimes with only powder my face looks vry pale too..am thinking of a little blush..
