Beautiful Rhineland Palatinate

Last Sunday was a perfect outing day on a bike. The sun was shining deceptively bright but all I could feel on my skin was the cool autumn air. However it didn’t deterred us to explore what Rhineland Palatinate (Rheinland Pfalz) has to offer. We passed by acres of apple plantations and vineyards. We came across this beautiful sunflower field.

I can so feel this sunflower is ‘beaming’ at me :)

Rheinland Pfalz, especially the region where I’m staying is famous for wine-making. There’s even a road named as German Wine Road, where Germany’s oldest wine routes are located. You can find acres and acres of vineyards along these routes.

One thing I find quite amazing here is that most of the vineyards and plantations are ‘open’, as in there aren’t any fences cutting trespassers off. So you can actually just pluck some grapes and apples along the way :D . Of course no one actually did that.

Here’s my picture set of 9 pictures I took during the outing. Although it was a tad windy and my nose kept running due to the cold wind, I always felt rejuvenated and refreshed after such an outing when I had a chance to be in touch with mother nature. I have a feeling like the fresh air recharges my internal battery to face another new week again.
