Morning of mornings
7:00am: I woke up to the ringing of the church bells. Groping in the dark for my alarm clock, hoping that I still have one hour of sleep..please.
7.01am: No, I don’t have much time before the alarm kicked off. Dumped the alarm clock away and pretended that I still have an hour of sleep.
7.05am: Jerked awake by the ringing of my alarm clock.
7.10am: Finally managed to drag myself with greeaaat reluctance out of bed. My eyes were struggling to stay open while I stumbled in my morning blurriness into the bathroom to splash some cold water on my face.
7.15am: Get dressed for breakfast.
7.20am: My hot cup of tea never failed to warm my cold body every morning, while my eyes were trying to adjust to the brightness of the florescent light above the breakfast table. Hmm…for your information, his parents are early birds and prepared breakfast for us every morning. Ain’t I blessed? I’m lucky. Make a mental note to count my blessings every morning.
7.30am: Okay, I’m running late. Hastily I gulped my hot cup of tea, while almost getting my tongue burnt every time I did that.
7.35am: Brushed my teeth and prepared myself to be presentable.
7:45am: Grabbed my shawl, gloves, and winter jacket and off we are to work!
