I was so looking forward to meeting up with my ex-Uni mates again on Friday. It was an annual graduation dinner celebration held by our faculty. I love the location this year. It was held up high at a revolving restaurant up at the TV Tower in Mannheim.

The view of Mannheim has never appeared so breathtaking to me before until I got a glimpse of it at night from 212.8m high above. I was a little saddened that not many of my professors turned up that night. However two of my favorite professors were there. Their presence really made my night. The food was a tad pricey, which I have already expected at this kind of locale but tasted only moderately good.

Everyone was busy catching up on each other, filling in the gap of time that we’ve been missing on each other.

It was sort of funny now that I’m not a student anymore but a working adult, the professors seemed to appear not so distant to us. We chatted, laughed and gossiped over glasses of sparkling wine, imagine gossiping together with your professors! Hahaha..it was great seeing them in a lighter shade of mode! I enjoyed myself so much listening to their anecdotes about their years in their teaching profession. We exchanged stories about ourselves, about our working life and also about everything.

I miss my Uni days. I never realized that being a student can be such fun until I stepped into the working world. I miss seeing my Uni mates. I even miss those grueling days toiling on our lab reports at the last minutes. Sigh…those were the days.
