Although in a relationship, I put great importance in maintaining my other relationships as well, and that is friendship. It’s a must to not cut off other things in life even though you are in a relationship. It’s high time since we met up and catch up on each other.

Due to our separate ways in life now, it’s even harder to find a time when everyone is free and at the same place, at the same time. So me and the usual suspects decided to meet up for lunch and coffee on a bright, sunny but cold Saturday afternoon. Over platters of Sushi, Maki and Sashimi, we exchanged the latest news about our lives, our relationships and gossips . Above all, we got to converse in Cantonese! No German for the day . Later on we wanted to adjourn to Starbucks, but the Starbucks outlet we went to was already filled to the brim with the usual Saturday patrons, so we decided to head to McCafé instead, the latest happening coffee joint in town, by McDonald’s. How I wish they have Kopitiam here…*sigh* With the coffee price the half of those in Starbucks, but taste just the same, why Starbucks when you have McCafé? I ordered a chocolate fudge cake as dessert, which my girlfriends told me is a must try. I was in cloud nine with my first bite. It was pure moist chocolate! No doubt I plan to frequent McCafé more in the future. And of course more chocolate fudge cake in mind when I need a boost of endorphin .

Over cups of latte and hot chocolates, conversations began to flow again but this time on a more serious tone. About our present plans to some future uncertainties and decisions yet to be made. Life is one great journey. When will it be, when we meet again?

Short of becoming too melancholy now, it’s a good thing really to keep updates on each other. It’s a time when we complain about our partners, talk about guys and even plan our trips together! This kind of meeting up always left me feeling happy and thankful that I have great girlfriends after all!
