Getting into the mood

by Yen posted December 13, 2007 category C’est la vie

As I’m typing this, listening to Christmas songs aired on radio, munching on Christmas cookies baked by Thorsten’s mum, I can’t help but feel like it’s almost Christmas. Radio deejays are giving out tips almost everyday on what to buy as Christmas gifts for your special someone. Even my colleagues are musing on what gifts the others are buying for their other half. Hah..I’ve got my gifts packed and ready ;) .

And why do I get all excited about Christmas anyway? I don’t celebrate it at home and I don’t celebrate it here also. However I’m sort of dragged into the mood since being together with a German. I love the Christmas-y decorations everywhere around town. Nothing looks so beautiful light some twinkling lights in the dark.

I love to go to Weihnachtsmarkt, I love to munch on home made Christmas cookies. I love the smell of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine in the air at the Weihnachtsmarkt. Of course I love the Christmas sales that comes with the season ;) .

But there’s one thing that I can’t recalled that I’ve ever had before.

It is to have a white Christmas.
