It is COLD
Dec 22, 2007 in That's life!
The temperature throughout the whole week has been hovering around -4°C. I woke up to -6°C this morning. Great. This is what my thermometer is showing at the moment. And snow is no where in sight. The air is so cold that dew was frozen overnight, leaving behind a thin white blanket of ice like some powdery sugar everywhere. I can’t imagine how can those people in Finland or Siberia or Alaska survive each winter. The winter there is way more extreme than in Germany.
From afar, one might be deceived into believing that it might have snowed a little overnight. However when you take a closer look, it’s just really frozen moisture from the air.
So you can imagine how dry the air is at the moment. I gave up styling my hair with mousse or some hair spray because it takes less than 10 minutes for your hair to be charged with static electricity due to the dry air. Whenever I tried to comb my hair, it got worse and my hair got in every directions imaginable. I gotta change my hair styling method for winter.
The plant above is completely bare in winter and those spikes are frozen moisture! Isn’t mother nature beautiful?

Yes, it’s really beautiful. Merry ‘White’ Christmas to you.
Merry Christmas to you too!
