The joy of Christmas

by Yen posted December 26, 2007 category C’est la vie

Celebrating Christmas here always reminds me of celebrating Chinese New Year back home with my family. Every year T’s family will gather on the eve of Christmas at his parent’s house. It is on the eve that we exchanged presents. I got my share of presents too ;) ! This time it is a pair of beautiful gloves knitted by his mom, a box of Lindt Chocolates, a beautiful organizer and a candle deco from his sisters.

Christmas lunch is hosted every year at his parent’s house on Christmas day. There are roast beef stuffed with spinach, roast pork with savory sauce, glazed sweet roasted chestnut served with Knödel (a kind of German dumplings), noodle and lamb’s lettuce. For dessert, there are four choices of ice cream to spoil your taste buds.

It is one of those occasion which reminds me very much of home.

  1. Nice pictures!
Temperature at my place is low too, about 32-34 F, though not as low as yours.

  2. Thanks Chin :) ! Does it snow at your place? It snowed on the 2nd day of Christmas here.
