I received a surprise Chinese New Year greeting card all the way from Singapore! Thanks Wah , it really made my day.
Somehow this card brings me a step closer to home. Chinese New Year is just a week away and I don’t feel a pinch of excitement in me at all. There’s a lack of atmosphere and a lack of decorations to stirr up the mood. I think I ought to bring some Chinese decoration with me to give this place where I’m staying a more ‘homey’ feel.

T asked me what it was. After explaining to him, he said it didn’t resemble a new year greeting card at all. Then I asked him how should a new year greeting card look like? It should have the words ‘Happy New Year’ on it. I guess those Chinese words look absolute gibberish to him . Sometimes in Chinese, you don’t need to mention ‘Happy New Year’ to get the message across right?
