The joy of Chinese New Year
Feb 10, 2008 in Culinary Adventures, That's life!
Sorry for not much updates for the past few days. Had been busy with work, and attending birthday parties and what else, celebrating Chinese New Year of course
. Had some friends over to my place on Saturday for sort of a Chinese New Year lunch.
We decided to cook some typical Malaysian food to celebrate and we came up for the main dish, Malaysian Chicken Curry, Prawn Wantan soup, fried Gai Lan and steamed Siu Bak Choy (小白菜) with Oyster Sauce.
For some desserts, we had some mouth watering egg tarts and onde-onde.
My egg tart recipe never fails to impress my guests.. ahem
. Don’t believe me? Go ahead and try them out yourself. They are simple to make and 100% satisfaction guaranteed! ![]()
Here are PC’s signature onde-onde. I think I rarely ate those while I was in Malaysia. However they are surprisingly tasty and a pleasure for my taste buds. I gotta get the recipe from her.
We ate so much until our stomach felt like bursting afterwards. It felt nice nevertheless
.

Happy CHinese New Year… Gong hei fatt choy…
the dishes look tempting and delicious…i’m drooling…
Enjoy the CNY…
Hi Jaina, Happy Chinese New Year to you too!
