It’s May already?

I like this year’s May. We have three public holidays in Germany that fall in May this year. The good thing is, they either fall on Thursday or on Monday. So if we are lucky, we’ll have three prolonged weekends this May. Yippie :P . BUT if you are not so lucky, then you’ll still have to come to work on Friday :( .

We’re almost halfway through the year. Are you still staying on the road where you’ve set yourself to be on at the beginning of the year? Have you started to cross out some items on your list of resolutions for this year? As for me and I’m almost half way through.

  • Visit a place where I haven’t been to yet.
I’ve went for a short holiday to Interlaken, Switzerland and it was really something out of the ordinary for me. Taking a train to the top of a mountain is not something I do everyday. Maybe I’ll plan another trip when I’m back to Malaysia in the middle of this year? I have no plans yet what to do at home. Maybe a visit to Penang and Melaka?
  • Take up scuba diving.
I’ve planned to take up this course in summer with some friends and I can’t wait to try this out!
  • Break away from the mundane working life…
by engaging myself in my favorite past times, like reading, polishing my photography skill, cooking, shopping, socializing and paying more attention to my loved ones. I’ve finished quite a number of books for the past few months.
    1. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
    2. 1984 (Signet Classics) by George Orwell
    3. Pride and Prejudice (Bantam Classics) by Jane Austen
    4. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
    5. Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World’s Worst Dog by John Grogan
    6. The Rainmaker by John Grisham
I love all these stories that I’ve read. For me it is sort of like an interlude to another world and makes me forget about everything around me for awhile. By the way, I have another waiting on my shelf! Thorsten complained sometimes that I’m spending too much time with my books instead of with him. *oops* I can’t be blamed when the book makes me keep on turning the pages, some books are just un-put-downable. :P

Hmm…another goal for this year. Get myself another lens for my camera. I think a Nikon 18-200mm lens should do for the moment. :P
