Man, I think I’ve picked the most inauspicious time to go back home this time.

We’ll be missing almost half of the Euro 2008 matches and the finals. How ironic, if you come to think about it. We can watch all the matches at the comfort of our sofa in Germany, live every evening. But no, we choose to fly all the way to Malaysia to torture ourselves by waking up at some unearthly hours just to watch those matches live.

Actually that’s what I did back in high school, waking up in the middle of the night with my dad and my brother to watch Champion League or World Cup live. We’ll do that this time if Germany reaches the finals.

Another thing that peeves me is that the day when I return to Germany will be the day when the Mega Sale in Malaysia starts. This means I’d be missing the Mega Sale. And I was eagerly hoping for the sale to start earlier.
