Putting pieces together
Jul 8, 2008 in My distractions
I like to take pictures. Whenever I travel, I think you would have noticed that I schlepp my camera along with me. Taking pictures while traveling is a challenge for me, especially when I travel with someone, like my boyfriend who’s impatient in posing or impatient in taking pictures
.
One of my favorite shot is panorama shot. To do this, I will usually stand at one spot and hold my camera steady at the same horizontal level for each shot. Then I will slowly turn my body from left to right and at the same time clicking my camera away for the shots, making sure that there is enough overlapping area for each shot.
The fun begins when I load all my pictures into my computer and using a software (I use Panorama Maker by ArcSoft) for stitching pictures together and voila, I have my panorama shot!
This picture above is taken at the balcony of the ‘Boh’ Tea Centre at Sungei Palas. It’s a combination of three images. Click on it to enlarge.
And this panorama above is created by stitching four images together. Click on it to enlarge.
The above mentioned way is not the best method to capture the best panorama picture but hey it’s a try
. Using a tripod helps to reduce mismatching of images and stitching errors. If you have any tips for taking panorama pictures, do share with me!

Ah! You’re lucky to have the software. =)
