Sweet harvest
Jul 9, 2008 in My distractions
As I came back from work yesterday, I was surprised by these cute little red ‘things’ on the kitchen countertop. I didn’t know what they were until T’s mom told me they are cherry tomatoes!
Out of the four tomato plants that she has, one of them is a cherry tomato plant! These are some that she harvested. Oh my, they were so sweet, so juicy and so succulent! I pop them into my mouth like they are candy.
I’ve been missing all the progresses in her garden during my three weeks’ absence. The tomato plants have grown so tall and there are still plenty of them growing healthily! Look at my chili plant below!
It was just a few weeks ago that they still looked like this. It just reminds me how fast time flies. Life goes on without you realizing. I really gotta go slow, take my time and admire life around me.

Have you seen grape tomatoes? They grow in clusters, exactly like grapes, and about half the size of cherry tomatoes.
Sweet harvest indeed, and you sound like a happy lil’ girl. =) The 2nd pic makes me smile, it’s amazing to witness life. You’re right about taking time to admire life around us! Oh yes, my Basil is standing real tall and all ready for harvest!
Chin, nope I have seen grape tomato plants before although I’ve eaten them before, I can imagine they must look cute hanging on its branches

Stardust, glad to hear that your basil plant is growing healthily
