Of being ‘tech-savvy’
Guess what is this? Nope, it’s not a bomb and no, it’s not a decoration either, although this ‘thing’ has been occupying a considerable amount of space at the TV room cabinet. I was dumb-struck the first time when my boyfriend shown it to me and told me he built it himself.
If you take a closer look at it, some of the parts are made of cardboard and cellophane tape glued together! Those two vertical ‘thingy’ which look like screwdrivers are used to hold the electrical components, underneath the metal plate, in place. Jeez..and I thought that they are real screwdrivers with its pointed end sawed off.
The top view looks even scarier with its eight huge bluish cylinders with small threads of wires in every direction. What’s with that thing that looks like a toilet roll? Tell me that your first impression of this is not a homemade bomb. The first thing that flashed into my mind was, which wire to cut to deactivate the whole thing?
Actually my fear was misplaced. It’s just an amplifier he built for his sub-woofer to enhance his TV-watching experience..duh. I’ve gotta admit that thing works fine
. I guess I’ve been watching too many movies these days, but hey, you can’t blame me (blame those movies), right, when it looks so ‘explodable’.
i can’t imagine being able to create such a monster! : ) must be an electronically-talented guy!!
your bf is an intelligent E&E guy!
