The other day, T was at the canteen with another colleague (let’s call him John) for lunch. While food-browsing at the many counters, his colleague stopped at the sandwich counter. The sandwiches sold at the canteen are usually unwrapped and every customer can reach over the counter to pick the sandwich of his choice and pay.

One customer sauntered towards the sandwich counter as well and right there, John saw the guy reaching out to the sandwiches to open the sandwiches to ‘investigate’ the content of each of the sandwiches with his BARE hands! CAN HE BE ANY GROSSER!??

Seeing this guy, nonchalantly ‘investigating’ the sandwiches with his bare hands, John couldn’t suppress his disgust any longer but to tell that either he buys all those sandwiches that he’d ‘contaminated’ with his hands or stop doing that.

That guy had the guts to shrug and replied ‘No one cared when I did that in Spain…‘ and walked away…leaving John completely dumbfounded.

I’ll never buy unwrapped sandwiches again from a n y canteen anymore.
