The sweet smell of summer
Jun 30, 2009 in C’est la vie
The days are scorching hot with the right dose of humidity to boot. Come evenings, thunders roll in from the horizons with a short round of downpour to cool off the day. As I sat by the balcony, with the glass doors wide open, I caught a scant scent of fresh damp earth, of magnolias glistening in the evening sun, of morning glories that have yet bade the day good night and scent of roses which seemed to intensify after the rain. The cheerful chirping of the sparrows slowly faded away until the only sound I heard was the night settling around me. Intoxicated. Content. Enriched.

It’s a pouring crazy monsoon we’re having here!
The picture-less post brings Summer before me. So vivid, I thought I could smell the flowers. =)
This explains why, I remain a faithful reader of your maze. =)
Stardust, oh it’s monsoon time over there? Hope it’ll be over soon!
I’m lucky to have such faithful reader like you!
I have to agree with stardust. I can almost smell the flowers too!
It’s been rain and sunny every 1 hour interval here in UK. The result is beautiful flowery meadow. Too bad… I bring no camera with me.
