It all got rusty

I wonder how long it’s been since I’ve really spoken some English. It’s been too long. Sure I still know some Manglish and Singlish but it’s so rare nowadays for me to get a chance to converse in proper English. Guess what, even Denglish (Deutsch(German) + English) is starting to rub off on me for mixing too much with the Germans. I’m starting to doubt my own command of English lately as I needed to look up the English translation of a German vocab more often than from English to German! Scary. Then it all got a little more embarrassing when conversing with some Americans that certain German words would pop up a little too often. Or I’d lapse into a few seconds of head-scratching to search for the right English word. Jeez, I really need some polishing here.
