Food marathon in Chinatown
Jan 4, 2010 in Culinary Adventures
I made it my aim to have my every meal in Chinatown during my stay in London. Imagine if you are deprived of some good, authentic Asian food in Europe for so long, Chinatown in London was like the best alternative to home. I was lucky to have someone as an eating guide in Chinatown and my, I really had my best Chinatown-eating-experience so far.
Let’s see, I had Hong Kong dimsum (a must for breakfast), tasted duck tongues (go ahead and ewwwww), baby octopus (ain’t I cruel?), seafood congee (for a light lunch), Taiwanese food (love their sticky rice with sweet pork meat), lots of hot Sze Zhuan food on a cold winter night (it was orgasmic) and last but not least, Malaysian Prawn Mee and Wat Tan hor (it was the second best compared to those from home)!
Sometimes I do really wish that there’s more ‘Asian-presence’ in Germany. By ‘Asian-presence’ I meant, instead of just a handful (speak two) Asian markets in the nearest city where I live, there’s no harm in having a whole street of it (my wishful thinking). Or instead of only Thai or Chinese restaurants, why aren’t there any Malaysian restaurants at all?

Bam! Ok, you’ve killed me with that array of pictures. =P
