Snow covered
Jan 12, 2010 in Life in Germany
Germany was cast in a deep winter spell for the past few weeks. The weather, aside from the snow, was pretty dreary, grey, gloomy and dismally boring. It is sort of like living in a black-and-white film. How I wish I could just stay in bed underneath my snug comforter and wake up when the sun is hot and warm and everything is bright and colourful again.
We took long walks in the snow covered forest. The landscape under the thick blanket of snow was really beautiful as long as the snow was untarnished.
Strolling along the long, winding path, I had a feeling the whole setting resembled those Korean films, or was it Winter Sonata?
I love the fall of snow at the tip of my hair. The crisp, cold, fresh air cleared the cluttered mind. As much as I love the snow, I wouldn’t mind when everything thaws because driving in the snow is a nuisance!

I love snow too especially in the woods….great exercise walking in knee deep snow. I also finds it a nuisance to drive in snow and with ice underneath.
