My personal Reader

Being quite a faithful customer of Amazon and sort of a gadget freak myself, I was naturally intrigued when Amazon first launched its electronic reader, Kindle, a few years ago. Back then, the bookish side of me couldn’t really imagine reading a book without the feel of paper on my fingertips nor the familiar musty odour of old books that brought on olfactory nostalgia from spending too many of hours pouring over the collections of J. R. R. Tolkien and the likes. My Sony ReaderBut when Amazon introduced the second generation of its Kindle and my own collection of of e-books has been increasing over the years (reading on the computer really hurts the eyes), I started to give this new wave of reading a second thought. Unfortunately Amazon didn’t ship its Kindle internationally at that time and the one widely available in Germany is Sony Reader, which can be ‘touched’ and ’seen’ in bookstores nationwide. So when bf asked me what I wanted for my birthday a few weeks back, I didn’t hesitate the least bit that I wanted my very own Reader :) ! It’s almost weightless, as thin as my hand phone and almost the size of my palm and it fits perfectly in any of my handbags! Now I have my whole e-library on the go and am totally THRILLED!!!
